How to Pray

Pray for:

God to heal and restore families and social norms so that more children can stay in their biological families and be in safe, stable and healthy environments

God’s glory to be proclaimed throughout the adoption process (Psalm 108:5 “God, be exalted above the heavens, and let your glory be over the whole earth”)

That we will take every opportunity God gives us to share about the adoption found in Jesus as we walk through this adoption (Ephesians 1:4-6)

That God will encourage us through the wait. That we would place our hope in Him and be comforted by his love (Psalm 33:20-22 We wait for the Lord; He is our help and shield. May your faithful love rest on us, Lord, for we put our hope in you.”)

That we would all adjust well once we are a family of 3. That God will help us face the joys and sorrows of the transition with joy, gratitude and prayer. That God would enable us all to attach well with one another. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice Always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”)

For healing and comfort for our little ones heart. That the sorrow that is part of their story would point them to the hope of the gospel (Romans 5:1-5). For ongoing wisdom for us as to know how to best walk alongside and create a space they are comfortable working through their grief, losses, fears, identity, etc.

For favor with the paperwork and officials all along the way

that God would guard and protect our little one as they are being formed in their mothers womb, that mama would be taken good care of, being supported in the ways she needs most and that little Wallie would be placed in a loving foster family.

Thank you for praying!
