Hello! Mike and Rachel here

Thanks for joining us as we walk with Jesus and move towards growing our family through Adoption

A little about us:

Mike is from Kansas City, Missouri. He grew up playing soccer, ski racing as well as traveling to Colorado often for ski trips and rafting. He came to Christ in Highschool through Young Life. He’s lived in Durango, CO  since 2001 ministering at the College he attended.  When he’s not with students, he plays on a local hockey team, runs (so he can eat cookies) and for international backpacking mission trips. He teaches kids how to ski over holidays, is working on writing children’s books and enjoys adventures with Rachel.

Rachel is a missionary kid who grew up many places, mainly Yugoslavia. She grew up deeply immersed in the cultures she lived in. When she’s not working on adoption paperwork, she grabs coffee with gals to mutually encourage and spur on towards the Lord, writes encouragement notes and prayerfully intercedes for many. She also helps Mike run the outdoor events for the college ministry and welcomes students into their home for weekly dinners and meets for discipleship. You can often find her creating; from sewing a prayer quilt, to making wood slab ornaments, to baking a fun treat to share with someone and frequently adventuring with her mountain man.

We’ve been together for 15yrs, married for 11 in 2022, adventuring in the mountains of southwest Colorado and wherever the Lord leads. Our favorite thing to do together is create an environment where others can encounter Jesus.

Our faith in Jesus changes everything. It impacts and influences the decisions we make and how we spend our time, money, resources. We are his handiworks, in process of being changed, becoming more one with his heart and mind.

As a follower of Jesus, this life is about bringing God glory, enjoying him, sharing this amazing reality with others. He is love and the one who moves mountains
